Story
Over the last three years I have been participating in a sprint triathlon in honor of our family friend, Alex Blais and his special family. Thus far, it's been a personal voyage to express appreciation and love for a boy and his family who have shown a level of bravery, resolve, and determination which has transcended their own story. They continue to share and teach those of us who are lucky enough to have been touched by their journey what true love and family are all about. My small effort has been an homage to the powerful message Alex gave us all.
This year I'm expanding the effort by raising funds in support of the Ty Louis Campbell Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell. Through this investment, TLC pays the salary of an experienced doctor/researcher who is dedicated to collecting genetic bio-information on all types of pediatric brain tumor samples in order to provide individual treatment protocols with precision medicine to children battling cancer. Your support is of TREMENDOUS value to this organization, and it truly helps move the needle forward in making these events a success in memory of Ty! The Ty Louis Campbell Foundation is a nonprofit organization, certified 501(c)(3), that funds innovative research and clinical trials specifically geared toward the treatment of the deadliest childhood cancers (Tax ID 45-1858390) in memory of Ty, Alex and in honor of all children battling cancer.
