Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page!
My cycling hobby started a little over 2months ago as a routine to help me maintain my fitness with gym closures due to COVID-19. It started with my first ride being 20miles and here I am over 2 months later embracing a challenge to cycling over 250miles from Bolton to London for a worthy and noble cause.
I am cycling with a group of friends to raise much needed funds for various human aid projects in Africa & Asia, more specifically water wells.
The funds raised will greatly help those less privileged than us, us who take running water for granted! In Benjamin Franklin’s words, “when the well is dry, we will know the worth of water”. This is a state experienced by many millions across the world who either don’t have access to water (even clean water), or who have to travel several miles to get access to a source of water.
The distance covered on a bike for this charity ride is not at all comparable to the daily journeys many children, women and elderly have to experience to get access to water on a consistent daily basis, however it is with the intention to help those that need access to water so that it is readily available when required.
I am leaning into you for your support towards this noble, worthy and much needed cause! Thanks for your support!!
