There's so many charities out there that are deserving of support and sponsorship. Where to start? I have no ties to 'Children with Cancer Leukaemia Advice & Support for Parents' (CCLASP) but from what I see and read in the media - children suffering in great pain that we may never experience - this is a charity I'm more than willing to go to extraordinary lengths for.
In August I will push my endurance and mental strength to a level of suffering that still isn't close to what these children do. I will cycle from Musselburgh to London in two days (450miles), unsupported and solo, just me and the bike, before taking on the AJ Bell London Triathlon the following day (OLYMPIC DISTANCE - 1mile swim / 25mile bike / 6mile run).
CCLASP provide specialist and tailored support to families affected by childhood cancer or leukaemia and help to make children's' special wishes come true.
Normal life stops when you receive the devastating news that your child has cancer and CCLASP try to limit the consequences this can have financially, emotionally, and practically. The job is simple - TO TRY AND RAISE SMILES when times are difficult.
