We provide inspiration and support to people seriously injured through sport

Story

When I hit 30 in May 2018, I decided I had to take on the biggest and best challenge yet, and it had to be for a cause that means so much to me, from the bottom of my heart.

If you haven't already, you need to hear about the amazing things that The Matt Hampson Foundation work tirelessly to achieve.

Their aim is to provide advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for any sport, sporting activity or other form of physical education or recreation. They  assist individuals by offering direct grants or by paying into existing and future funds to assist with equipment, technology or just every day expenses.

More recently, the 'Get Busy Living Centre' has been built, where beneficiaries can go to receive rehabilitation through physiotherapy, hydrotherapy or to meet others in a similar position who can pass on advice and inspire each other to move on with their lives.

You can see everything on the website here: https://www.matthampsonfoundation.org

From the age of 14 I have followed Matt during his time as a player, I remember the day I heard of his frightful injury and I have been awe-inspired by his bravery, resilience and positivity throughout his recovery, rehabilitation and efforts to help others who experience similar events.

While I am lucky enough to be fit and able enough to embark on this challenge, I know that what will get me through the tough and gruelling ascents is thinking of those people who aren't able to, and what mountains they must have climbed to stay strong and remain positive after such devastating injuries. It's my absolute pleasure and an honour to do this to raise money for the Get Busy Living campaign, and for Matt.

Please, please, help me to raise as much money as possible and donate whatever you can to this astounding cause. It will truly make a difference to so many lives

Thank you so much,

Onwards and Upwards,

Beth xx
