Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

Shiji Sivanandan, Said Boujettif  and me (Kostas Dissios) are all facing  our fears to raise money for Alzheimer's Society.

Update 22nd April 2011

At last the wind and clouds have given us the break we needed. This morning we took to the skies not with little last minute trepidation. I admired Shiji's guts as she was the calmer of all.

The last second before jumping all my body was saying: NO, NO, NO STOP THIS!!!

Once you are out there is no doubt that it was good to finally do it and prove there is nothing to be afraid of.

As for me the early morning decision to skip breakfast played havoc with my stomach and I almost fainted on the van back to base.

Just avoided embarassment in the middle of the few dozen spectators in the air field.

We need to thank all of your firends, relatives and colleagues who supported us in the effort to raise this money for Alzheimer's Society and in our height fear effort. We would not ahve done it without you.

Update 25th February

We are all anxious and excited about tomorrow's jump. (our first attempt on 5th February was abandonded due to the ferocious wind). We will have the moral support of Leire who offered to get up in the early hours of morning to get some photos.

Update 27th January

With still some activities ongoing at the office we are now closing in our target and are at £495. Many, many thanks to all contributors and please remember that all the money collected up to £600 go straight to the Society and we fund ourselves the actual jump.

Some friends asked if they can pay us to not jump  and I must say that if enough money were given to a good cause I would change my mind!

UPDATE 21st January

The response at our offices has been fantastic and even before the start of our Charity Week 24-28 January we have taken donations from activities beyond the £100 mark.

Lola has been amazing in raising awareness and we would like to thank everyone who has come up with new and surprising ideas to help us.
