Story
I have a thing for Orangutans or "blooming orange monkeys" as Bram calls them! They amaze me and it makes me sad that we humans are slowly wiping them out and destroying their habitat.
They used to be found throughout much of Southeast Asia, now they only survive in small, fragmented populations throughout the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra.
We destroy their rainforest habitat to make palm oil plantations and then they wander into agricultural areas looking for food farmers hunt them for taking their crops.
There are only only about 120,000 orangutans left in the wild and they are now classified as critically endangered.
