On the 28th January this year, we lost one of our closest friends, all round gentleman and one of the best people I will ever know, Rajen Mahendra. In his memory I wanted to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the charity chosen by his family, the Karuna Trust. As a forever active person and avid adventurer, Rajen inspired me to do more and I wanted to challenge myself with that inspiration, for a worthy cause.

Inspired by Buddhist values, Karuna exists to end caste-based discrimination, poverty and inequality in India and Nepal. Karuna's work with individuals focuses on education, dignified livelihoods and gender equality, transforming communities and changing society.
