Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, on Saturday 23rd June 2012 this event will take place to raise money for the LMBBS charity. LMBBS is a rare genetic disorder which can include visual impairment usually leading to blindness, kidney disease, obesity, learning difficulties and many other problems.
Our daughter Emmy was diagnosed with LMBBS when she was just six years old and the syndrome has had a huge impact on her life and in turn our families. Emmy is nearly 10 now and is registered blind due to her night blindness and reduced visual field, she also uses a guide cane now to assist her safe mobility.
Despite the daily life of living with LMBBS Emmy shows an overwhelming determination to overcome her difficulties & fears to allow herself to be just like any other 10 year old. Seeing her determination inspires us as her family and we want to actively support the LMBBS charity who have shown us so much valuable support since Emmy's diagnosis.
We are tremendously grateful to all our amazing family and friends who are supporting us by joining us on our 7 mile walk around our local country park to raise money for such a wonderful charity and the remarkable people who voluntarily put so much into the LMBBS society.
Thank you for your support.
