Story
Hello everyone. On the 17th August 2018, my beautiful wife was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer and our world was literally turned upside down. Lucy has since undergone surgery - a radical hysterectomy plus removal of ovaries, fallopian tubes and pelvic lymph nodes. We are so grateful that we already have our two beautiful children. She is now recovering as we wait anxiously for the results which we pray will show that this awful disease has been caught and dealt with.
The experience of having my wife - the person I love more than life itself - go through this (and having to live with the horrendous ‘worst case’ thoughts) has resulted in me deciding to help not only my wife, but others if possible, by doing a skydive for Jo’s cervical Cancer Trust. The trust has helped both myself and Lucy through this difficult time and it’s so important that I now do something to pay back the support.
For those of you that don’t know - I am afraid of flying and literally petrified of heights. Therefore, I have decided to test myself and actually do something completely out of my comfort zone (understatement) to try and raise as much money as possible. I will be doing the ‘jump’ in middle of October and pictures before and after (and hopefully during) will also be shared after the event.
If you can help me and Lucy and donate this will go towards enabling the trust to continue to help people in similar situations as we are in. Any amount will be truly appreciated and thanks in advance to you all. Xxxxx
