Story
For my second year of fundraising i am participating in the Coast to coast in a day sportive setting off from Seascale on the west coast and finishing in Whitby later that day. The route itself is 150 miles with 15000ft of climbing, it will be the first time i have done this event which is hosted by open cycling.
My second event comes a month later and it is completing the prudential ride London for the second year running, it is a 100 mile closed road route around London finishing on the Mall. This is the biggest sportive in the world with over 25000 participants, i finished the event in 5 hours and 20 minutes last year, so I am looking to improve my time and complete it in 5 hours.
This year will be a lot tougher than last year with work commitments and a little one to look after, which is all the more reason i have chosen Neoangels, which are a fantastic local charity that do make a genuine difference, for sick, premature babies and there families, my wife Amy works on the ward as a nurse that Neoangels work tirelessly for and i have heard of so many great things that they do.
I would be very grateful after reading my story that you could sponsor me as little or as much as you can.
Thank you.
Neoangels is dedicated to providing as much love, care and support as possible to our families. babies and staff on the Neonatal Unit at the University Hospital of North Tees. We ease the financial burden parents face by purchasing parking vouchers, helping with travel expenses and providing a hot meal in the hospital canteen daily for parents. We provide medical equipment, we have a specialist bereavement fund to look after families who lose their baby, we offer emotional support and we look after siblings too.
