Story
This is the fourth year that Women + Health (W+H) are taking to the streets of Camden in order to celebrate women of years gone by - and at the same time raise much needed cash to help W+H continue its services for local women on low income.
Whilst this is always a very joyous occasion, the underlying reason for this annual walk is serious. In recent years 95% of organisations providing services for women have experienced cuts to their income and many have gone under. Yet women continue to bear the brunt of austerity measures. Many of the women coming through W+H's doors say they feel invisible and are not sure how to continue with their duties as carers, running a family, recovering from violence or rape - or simply dealing with the stresses of every day living. W+H offers a holistic programme of talking and body therapies, life coaching, yoga and other group activities.
W+H support helps them to feel better, live healthier and regain their power.
