We help people with a learning disability to live their lives as they choose.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may know, I'm swimming  a mile to raise money for Mencap, with two of my HR colleagues.  The event takes place on 25 July at Lake Dorney in Windsor and we're called the Mermaid-zing team.  Although we'd welcome your support on the day - providing you don't take any photos of us in our wetsuits! - we're also after your financial support too.

Mencap has recently launched a campaign called 'Getting it right'. The campaign will help to save lives by improving the healthcare that people with a learning disability receive from the National Health Service. It will challenge hospitals, healthcare authorities, doctors, nurses and anyone who provides healthcare treatment for people with a learning disability to ‘Getting it right’. The campaign will run for 3 years.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks for supporting us
