Story

I am part of an eclectic bunch that have taken on the challenge of walking from Culloden Battlefield to Clova Kirk following the post battle route home across the Cairngorms that the Ogilvy's endured.

We are a group very varied in age, ability and experience but together with organisers, fundraisers and supporters, we are united in our desire to help Caitlin.

Caitlin Wilkie was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition called Bardet Beidl Syndrome. This syndrome has varying symptoms but the main ones are blindness, learning difficulties, development delays, obesity and heart & kidney problems.

There are no cures for this but Professor Phillip Beales from Great Ormand Street Hospital is researching this in great depth and may only be a few years away from finding a cure to prevent the blindness element of the syndrome which we hope our sponsor money will help to fund for Caitlin.

Culloden to Clova for Caitlin event is one of many fundraising challenges being organised to help Caitlin.

This is a heartwarming example of a small community pulling together to help a local loved and well respected family.

For me personally this is a huge challenge but I am fully committed and I am honoured and very proud to be involved.

All donations will be gratefully recieved

Thank you

Lindsey
