In June I'll be running my first triathlon at Bleinham Palace. 

With the 3 month countdown now on, I'm nervous and excited for the big day! This will be the first time I do any sort of race/event like this so will require focus and training (getting on and off a wetsuit will be interesting for starters) but I can't wait to push myself to get over the finish line! 

I chose to do this through Bloodwise, the UK's leading blood cancer research charity. With blood cancer being the 5th most common form of cancer in the UK and the third biggest cause of cancer deaths, it's incredibly important that we continue making advancements in research and treatment to support those affected. While I'm grateful that none of my immediate friends or family have suffered, I've seen the devastation it has caused friends of friends and would hope that with increased investments and funding, survival rates and quality of life for those affected can continue to improve.
