My son Ben was born in 2012 with Down Syndrome.  

Down Syndrome Scotland gave us information from the initial diagnosis about how not so scary this was going to be, and they help to raise awareness and provide support to families before birth and afterwards, and throughout life.

They went into Fishermoss Primary School and did a talk to the kids about what Down Syndrome is to help everyone understand what this genetic condition is and what It means.

They also provide social events and Learning opportunities.

Let’s help other families understand this diagnosis is not as scary as it sounds and that kids with drown syndrome are just kids who’s wants and needs are the same as every child.
