Story
We will be descending down a 220 metre zip wire at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital to help raise charitable funds for the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. We will be lifted in a cage into the air by a crane and then zip wire down, reaching speeds up to 35mph!
Every single penny raised will go towards the £2 million fundraising target the Your Trust Charity is working towards. The fundraiser will contribute in creating a welcoming and healing environment, which includes community spaces such as gallery and exhibition spaces, gardens and play areas.
Your donations will also go towards enhancing the research and development department, understanding the conditions reflecting the growing ethnic diversity of the patient population and also add extra nurses, pharmacists and analysts over the next five years to pioneer new treatments in Midland Met.
Ways in which your donations could also support the project:
£5 - Crayons and colouring books to keep little minds busy
£50 - Fill a distraction bag with toys, games and puzzle to help keep children occupied before or during medical procedures.
£100 - Activity sessions on our elderly care ward
£150 - A breast pump to support our breast-feeding team
£500 - Fund research by enabling medical teams to explore new techniques and treatments to improve and save lives.
£500 - To be used towards specialist sleep monitors for premature babies
Help us achieve our target, every penny counts!
