Dear Friends

Well, we made it! Here we are with Paul and Alan at our final destination in a not very salubrious Paris suburb...Some brave souls actually dived into the murky canal you can see behind us to cool off, but this was probably ill-advised, especially with Lisa's gravel rash...don't ask.

As well as raising money, we feel confident that we have raised awareness of mental health via the Argus appeal, look out for various items coming up at http://www.theargus.co.uk. And we certainly improved our own sense of wellbeing through all the camraderie, fresh air and exercise on the ride. The ride was arranged entirely by volunteers, who were absolutely brilliant, a massive thank you to all of them.

We learned two things, firstly, that at nearly 60 and 55 respectively, we can just about keep up with the pack, and secondly, that Lisa and clip-in pedals just do not mix.

Thank you all for your kindess in sponsoring us, we really do appreciate it. As you can see, we exceeded our target, for which we are most grateful.
