In past years, I have worked in London homeless shelters over the end of year holidays but as I am not able to this year,  I have recently joined the Knightsbridge School team to support RESTART Lives SleepOut.  On Friday, 18 November 2022, with a KS and RESTART team, I will be sleeping on the pavement outside of the school and the St. Columba's Church of Scotland which is the RESTART Friday evening Drop-in center for a hot meal and advisory services.  Homelessness is a huge and growing problem. RESTART works hard to deliver 4,000 free hot meals during the year with volunteers who give 2,000 hours of their time providing not only nourishment but advice regarding accommodation and employment. This event is for one night only but the harsh reality is that many people endure vulnerable, at-risk living day after day. I'm stepping up to this challenge so I can raise as much awareness and funds as possible to help restart lives.
