Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are joining Willen Hospice on their first international charity trek in Vietnam, to raise much needed funds to support the amazing work that they give to the Milton Keynes Community.
In July 2015, Dad spent his final days at the Hospice, still fighting against cancer and not wanting to give up his battle. Sadly, a few days later, it beat him, and we lost the most incredible man far too early, when he still had so much to give and so much life to live.
The support we received from the hospice was outstanding. From allowing Mum to stay and be next to her husband at all times of the day and night, to supporting our young niece and nephew when they visited Grandpa for the last time. We couldn't have asked for more at the most difficult time in our lives.
This is for us to give back, to ensure that the Willen can continue to support many other families like ours, long into the future. It is made so much more poignant by the final day of our trek being on what should have been Dad's 65th birthday - we cannot think of a better way to celebrate.
Rest assured, that every single penny raised on this page will be going to the hospice. We have paid the full costs of the trip ourselves, so that you can be sure that your kind donations are going straight to help the local community.
A heartfelt thank you for reading our story and donating towards this fantastic cause.
