Story

Oscar Thomas and Luna Star Mears were born premature on Valentines Day at 34 weeks gestation at Princess Alexandra Hospital.  Oscar was born weighing 4lb 11oz and Luna was 3lb 13oz.

Adorable Oscar was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 9 days where he received wonderful care from amazing staff. Oscar is now doing well and is gaining weight.

Beautiful little Luna amazed us all with her strength and courage and fought for 3 days but sadly lost her battle on the 17th February and died peacefully in her mummy's arms.

We would like to buy some much needed equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital in memory of Luna and for the fantastic care and treatment that Oscar received while he was there.

In the last year alone, the staff on the NICU unit provided treatment to more than 350 babies. NICU need  more life saving equipment which includes ventilators, CPAPS/SIPAPS and neopuffs. By having this equipment in the unit, staff will be able to treat babies using the very latest, state-of-the-art equipment.

We really appreciate your donation.

Many thanks

Lloyd, Michelle, Oscar and Luna xxxx
