Dear Friends,

8 years ago crossing the finish line of the London Marathon, with a time of 4h19 , and a pain that till yesterday I could feel ,I said to myself ...Never Again.

Anyway when asked if I could guide a blind runner to Londons 2014 Virgin Marathon I immediately said yes.  

After the behind the shades project , where the short motivational movie we created featuring Blind adventurer Miles Hilton Barber, and his epic achievements , has been screened in various foundations worldwide, I have been in contact and met various amaizing personalities.

This new world opening  infront of me, allowing me to actually open my eyes  and see things differently, meeting various  blind or partially sighted people who carry on their lifes normally with great spirit , and hope.Yes that hope that many of us have just forgotten about.

I have also noticed something else..Technology,is a crucial friend  to people with sight problems and today its extremely advanced but crazy expensive, and needs professional help to understand its content .

Together with the complex times people are faced when they loose their sight , I think the Royal National Institute For Blind is a great choice to donate time or money.

They passionately advise people and help through this tough transition in order for the person not to quit and begin their new race in life with all thats available .

If we all take a minute,close our eyes  and think how difficult it must be to stop seeing beauty, whatever that might be for each of us,

I hope we can join forces and give our small help.
