Story
Tash and I became friends through triathlon. We chatted every week about training, our periods 😂, nutrition, covid, trainers, Nike next %, races being cancelled, the list goes on. Whenever I had a race cancelled, she always messaged me with a ‘don’t worry mate your hardwork will eventually pay off’. We would also always comment on each other’s strava accounts; except she had always finished her two hour run before I’d even woken up!
Tragically on the morning of 7th April 2021, whilst out on her morning run, Tash Lewis was involved in an accident with a car and passed away.
Tash and her partner Dave set up 'Get Fit in Bath' eight years ago with one clear aim - to create a community where people can come together to exercise and feel a part of their family.
They were due to become official charity ambassadors of Bath Rugby Foundation to recognise the incredible impact they made through community building and fundraising.
Bath Rugby Foundation is a charity whose purpose is to empower vulnerable children and young people in Bath and the surrounding area to succeed.
In memory of Tash and to help support Bath Rugby Foundation, I'm running the Bath Half and would love it if you could support and help this charity.
I definitely won’t be as speedy as Tash’s 1.15 goal but the aim is to get as close to 1.30 as possible.
Heaven has gained an angel.
