This year Katy and Lou will be running the Great North Run in the loving memory of Louis Thorold and to support the Louis Thorold Foundation, set up in his honour.

Beautiful baby Louis died on 22nd January 2021 at just 5 months old whilst his mother Rachael pushed his pram along a pavement in Cambridge. Rachael survived but spent 118 days in hospital and has a long road to recovery following multiple broken bones and a traumatic brain injury.

Each year in Britain 40 children are killed as pedestrians on Britain's roads. We don’t want to see another family face the pain and loss our wonderful friends have suffered.
