Story

As some of you know I spent my gap year in Malawi volunteering in a school and orphanage for 9 months. It was a life changing experience where I fell in love with the people and the country. This summer I am going back to volunteer with a charity called Building Futures in Malawi who are committed to improving opportunities for the children of this country and raising HIV/AIDS awareness.

I want to be part of that and really make a difference but need your support to do so. On June the 13th I will be running the Dumfermline Half Marathon, in the hope to raise some money for this wonderful charity. 100% of the money donated will go towards Building Futures in Malawi.

2 children die needlessly every minute in Africa...I hope to complete the run in just under 2 hours...you can do the maths.

Nothing is too small, every little helps.

Thank-you!!

About the charity

It supports secondary education in Malawi by providing money for buildings and equipment. It has built two community libraries which it runs with the national library service. It also runs a sports programme in Lilongwe and at the present time a new site is being developed to create a sports academy.
