As you know, I don't do flat shoes. So it is with great trepidation I have recently bought a pair of walking boots to venture up Snowdon to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

I doubt very much that this will be fun. It will certainly be a challenge. And I am assured that there will be wildlife and mud that we will encounter on the way.

Recently my family have needed Macmillan's support. Without our wonderful Macmillan nurse, Helen, this would be an infinitely more difficult time for us and in celebration of my Dad's ongoing battle with cancer, I'd like to raise some money to help them continue their amazing work.
