Story
A huge, heartfelt thank you to all my supporters! I made it!
As promised, my suffering is documented here:

(As you can see, I actually quite enjoyed it)
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
From the 10th - 13th July I will be cycling 335km from Morecambe Bay to Robin Hood's Bay in aid of student support at Hertford College, University of Oxford, the college at which I am a Fellow.
I'm subjecting myself to this epic of pain and suffering in memory of Dr. Neil Tanner, my physics tutor at Hertford from 1993-1995. He pioneered equal access to Oxford for students, irrespective of their socio-economic backgrounds. Dr. Tanner was a truly lovely man and a great inspiration to me, and I'm proud to raise money for Hertford in his memory.
You might think that every Oxford student is wealthy and can afford three years at University, but that is far from the reality. Your generous support will help the brightest students fulfil their potential, particularly those from lower-quartile socio-economic backgrounds.
Hopefully the stunning Yorkshire scenery will distract my mind from the inevitable pain of cycling this enormous distance. I'm looking forward to a beer or two in the Boggle Hole youth hostel when we finally reach Robin Hood's bay.
My fundraising target is £335 (£1 for each kilometre) and every little counts - so please donate whatever you feel able to. I need only 34 friends and family to each donate £10 to achieve my target!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for your generous support and I'll send you some photos of the grim determination etched on my face as a memento.
