We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Hi my name is Lucy Bridgwater and I am the wife of racehorse trainer 'Bridgie' (David).

Horses and racing are my life and love; whilst I am not often seen at the racecourse, I am working back at the yard preparing and looking after our next runners and horses in training for some great owners.

Having been lucky enough to have been involved in working with runners and winners at courses all over the country, incuding Cheltenham, I am very privileged to have been chosen to ride in the Cheltenham Festival Charity Race on St Patrick's Thursday 13th March 2014.

Riding at the Festival is a dream come true but, more importantly being able to fundraise for such a worthwhile cause as CANCER RESEARCH UK is a challenge I could not resist. I am raising money in memory of Kelly Walsh, she was our head girl in the yard and became a loved family friend, who sadly lost her battle with cancer.

We have all been touched by the suffering that Cancer can inflict, so I dearly hope my horse racing challange can raise valuable funds.

Please help me and my sport help CANCER RESEARCH UK

Thank you Lucy x
