Event: Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run 10k 2019, on 29 September 2019
We fund awareness, research and support to improve outcomes for Vasculitis patients

Story

I’m running the Great Scottish Run on Sunday 29th September to raise funds for The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation who have been an amazing support to my Mum since her diagnosis with Vasculitis, with her Vasculitis “family” being invaluable to her wellbeing. Vasculitis is an autoimmune disease which causes inflammation of the blood vessels, leading to damage to the organs and tissues. Currently, there is no cure for Vasculitis and if left undetected it can be fatal therefore early diagnosis is essential. The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation is dedicated to the support of Vasculitis, funding awareness and medical research to aid early diagnosis and better treatment, whilst also providing patient support services and groups. The charity was set up by Grant and Adrienne Currie in memory of their daughter Lauren who died of Vasculitis at the age of 15 in October 2010.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
