After many years I'm finally nearing the point of completing all of the 214 Wainwright fells in the Lake District - spurred on by my intention to complete them all before undertaking my Mountain Leader Award training in summer 2018. 

Hallin Fell was picked for its ease of access for a party with friends & family however it seemed too easy for my last one so I am walking to it from Barrow over the preceeding 3 days:

Wednesday: Barrow to Hawkshead (min. 36km)

Thursday: Hawkshead to Grasmere (min. 20km)

Friday: Grasmere to Patterdale (min. 12km but likely more!)

Saturday: Patterdale to Hallin Fell via Ullswater Steamer

I am raising money for Mountain Rescue who really do the most incredible work in our outdoors and to whom I'm very grateful for their existance - I hope I never need them but knowing they're there is always reassuring. Hence I am starting the donations off this time with £214 - a £1 for every fell climbed.
