Next week I will embark on a 5km swim to raise money for Flora and Fauna, the world’s oldest international wildlife conservation organisation.
Fauna & Flora has built a reputation for its pioneering work and science-based approach to conservation.
I am swimming specifically to support their development of marine protected areas and to further aid their great work to reduce plastic waste in our oceans. I am a keen diver and have been heart broken by the noticeable reduction of marine life and the increase in plastics in recent years. They are urging greater protection for whales and the end to unsustainable and destructive fishing practices among a huge number of incredible projects.
Fauna & Flora International (FFI) was the world's first international conservation organisation, established in 1903. Our vision is of a sustainable future for the planet, where biodiversity is effectively conserved by the people who live closest to it, supported by the global community.
