In March 2016 I will be travelling to Kenya in order to volunteer at The Happy House, a childrens home and school established by Sue & Dave Hayward in 2003:

The Happy House project is dedicated to providing a safe place for children orphaned by HIV, Aids, malaria and many other diseases. Some of these children have been abandoned and desperately need this project to give them a better life. Without it, they would be destitute, finding scraps to eat in the bush and sleeping rough. They would have no home, no medicines, no education and no future.

The Happy House thrives on its caring, supportive staff and the backing of its sponsors, volunteers and trustees. 

The Happy House is situated a 10 minute walk from the centre of Watamu, a small fishing village, located on the coast, approximately 60 kms. north of Mombasa. The Happy House is home to 112 vulnerable, abandoned and orphaned children. It is their home and I am privileged to be able to have the opportunity become a part of it.
