Hi everyone,

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and reading our story.

I have decided to take part in the Great Edinburgh Run in April this year. Not having run for some time, let's just say the challenge is very real! I am being joined by Jen and Kirsty who very kindly offered to take up the challenge with me (after a few shandies...) so here we are raring to go!

We are raising money for SANDS Lothians, a charity who have supported myself and Duncan immensely after the loss of our baby son - at 16 weeks - in September 2015 and our baby daughter - at 18 weeks - in May 2016. No-one prepares you for how you might feel following the sudden loss of a baby but SANDS Lothians have provided such invaluable support to our family during this time. 

SANDS Lothians offers vital support, understanding and help, both of a practical and emotional nature to bereaved parents who have experienced the death of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or soon after birth. They are there to offer support for as long as required.
