I came across the Bristol-based charity: Feed the homeless, in 2020. I fell in awe of the work the charity did! The efforts of a small team of volunteers giving a few days a week of their time to prepare and serve, delicious, warm and healthy meals to the homeless; as well as provide a food store/set-up service and
warm clothing, blankets and sleeping bags that have been donated.

It really is easy to take for granted the importance of a hot meal but it really is a simple act of kindness that warms and strengthens the soul. 

I have been a volunteer myself for just under a year and feel overwhelmed with joy each time I am out with the crew. When I came across the opportunity to run the London Half and try to raise some pounds for such a worthy cause, I could not resist!
