Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are a team of Military and Civil Service personnel currently employed within the MAWS Team at DE&S. The MoD has a long tradition of raising money for charities and with COVID restrictions being lifted the opportunity and enthusiasm to continue this good work has increased. As a Bristol based team we where keen to support a local charity and Art Refuge stood out as a group that is supporting something current, relevant and at the forefront of our collective conscious.

So why Tough Mudder? We wanted to do something a bit different, something that would be a challenge and something that would get us outdoors. An Obstacle Course Race was the obvious choice and with the teamwork elements of Tough Mudder it became the obvious choice. 

The majority of the team haven't done this kind of race before so a great level of optimism and enthusiasm for the challenge is showing through. The MAWS Team Leader, as a Tough Mudder Veteran, thinks this is a great idea but is quick to remind us that the electric shock finally is not for the faint hearted.
