Story

As with all charity organisations, what they can achieve is largely dependent on funds.  With that said, MMT Digital have raised money for The Mango Tree for over 5 years which has gone towards helping orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya and Tanzania live a better life.

Our next challenge to raise funds for The Mango Tree has now been decided. On September 14, we are going to be racing a train on foot up the highest mountain in Britain (outside of Scotland) Snowdon! Yep, you read that right, we’re going to race a train up a 3,560 ft mountain.

“No chance”, “impossible”, “bunch of idiots” we hear you cry, and although the third comment might be true as we are not exactly experienced walkers and our fitness levels may fall slightly short of Mo Farah’s, the first two are not. With a bit of hard training and a cut back on after work beers it is possible.

The train does not take a direct route up Snowdon. It works its way around the mountain to take in the picturesque scenery with a few stops along the way. Meanwhile, the hardy MMT Digital employees will be dragging themselves up the mountain as fast as possible.

The train takes approximately 1 hour to get to the summit so if we can maintain 12 minute miles we can do it!

We would be incredibly grateful if you could possibly sponsor our challenge by donating money through this Just Giving website. Your details are kept completely secure and Gift Aid is reclaimed on every single eligible donation from a UK taxpayer.

By supporting the work of The Mango Tree you will be having a life changing effect upon those who have been born into unimaginable hardship.
