Story
Welcome to our £5k Challenge page. Dexter, Gelina and Michela have set a personal challenge to raise £5k to go towards the work of Project Volunteer.
Description
In November 2014 we are going on the annual Project Volunteer trip to Botswana. We have been lucky enough to be selected and are grateful to have the chance to volunteer our time, skills and experience to be part of this unforgettable shared experience with the children of SOS Children's villages in Botswana.
Project Volunteer has a clear objective - to make a difference to the lives of those who live and work within the SOS Children’s Village. This is done by running an annual summer camp for 10 days, doing various activities, like; arts and crafts, cooking, music, film night, swimming lessons, BBQ, photography workshop, decorating. For the 2014 Trip, we have given up two weeks of our lives to be part of this!
Team DGM (Dexter, Gelina, Michela) have set a personal challenge to raise £5k to go towards the Project Volunteer charity. The money raised will help with the costs of the trip but more importantly will help support the work of Project Volunteer charity and the SOS Children’s Villages it supports.
We aim to reach this target over the next 6 months, with a range of fundraising activities for you to watch, participate in, support and share. All we ask is for you to like this page, spread the word and give generously…. Every little helps.
