In the early morning of October 19th I will be dangling off the edge of Brighton's i360 (450ft off the ground) trying to remember why I signed up for this! So here are the reasons, someone shout them up to me please. 😯

I currenly work as the Volunteer Coordinator at FareShare Sussex, I manage 150 volunteers from diverse backgrounds and to be honest it's the best thing ever. These incredible volunteers donate their time to provide 120 charities across Sussex and Surrey with good, nutritious food that would have otherwise gone to landfill. 🌱

FareShare Sussex do incredible things with the money we raise. For example, £500 enables us to deliver enough food for 2500 meals and prevent over a tonne of food from going to waste. But for me, in my heart, I am doing this for the volunteers. 

Every day at work I am full of admiration for this team of Food Heroes. A large proportion of the team are classed as "vulnerable people", often coming to us from the charities we distribute food to. No matter their situation, all of these people find time in their week to come give back and make a difference to the community. I feel it is only right that I volunteer too, so here we go!
