Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  My friends and I are celebrating my 60th birthday by fundraising for PROSTAID.  One friend - Alan Irwin and his sons are doing the following:

We are travelling (trekking) to Everest
              Base Camp (EBC) .

Leaving for Katmandu on the 7th October
2017 and returning home (all being well) on the 22nd
              October.

EBC sits at nearly 18,000 feet above
sea level and we anticipate it will take us 10 days to
              trek there and back.

These are extreme conditions with the main concern
being altitude which can affect anyone however physically
              fit they are.

It’s cold; as you get near to the base camp and at
night temperatures can drop to -15/20c.

I’m doing this with all of my sons,
              Kristopher, 33; James 32; Francis 17.

I’m 62!!

We have decided to support your raising
awareness charity event for prostate cancer and we will be
looking to get endorsements from some well-known sporting
celebrities both in football and boxing.

This will be a demanding physical
challenge but for those fighting this terrible decease it
              will be worth every step.

Please give generously.
