Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page. This is my story on why I have chosen the Lido. 

In 2005, my mum Jane joined Reach Fitness with her Sports massage business which is right next to Sandford Parks Lido, where you can enjoy the sunshine and relax or have a lovely dip or swim in the pool. As soon as I was 3, I have been going to the Lido with my parents ever since.  I joined Gloucester City Swimming Club in 2012 and ever since I have enjoyed swimming.  I can remember walking into the Lido and the first thing on my mind would be, ‘should I play for a bit or swim for a bit’. As my parents were Triathlon-mad, I would train in the Lido with them and it was the best experience of my life, especially swimming in a 50m pool, as I am used to swimming in a 25m pool. 

Mum has supported the Lido every year by doing post event massage at their famous triathlon held every September, all the money she received went back to the Lido  approx £100 each time.

This is something that’s influenced why im raising money for the Lido. It’s a facility that really needs to keep being supported by the public so many more generations get to appreciate its beauty, health and well being it brings.
