Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On september 7th 2013 we completed the Wolf Run (woodlands, obstacles, lakes and fields) and lots of mud !!!
On June 20th 2014 we held a Glam up for Gold Ball to support BCCA and supply schools in Coventry with awareness cards.
The motivation for doing this is my son Matty who died in 2011 of childhood cancer. He was 11 years old and was the most amazing and brave person, he endured his treatment and illness with courage beyond his young years. Our amazing son Matty was diagnosed with alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma in November 2010.At diagnosis the cancer had already spread .Matty was 10 years old.He endured 6 months of intensive chemo and 28 daily sessions of radiotherapy. He went back to school determined to carry on his life.He was brave, dignified and an absolute star.As his radiotheraphy doctor said 'you could teach the adults a thing or too'. Sadly as his treatment entered the maintenance stage Matty was to face one more battle that this time was to big and to vicious to beat. When I think of cancer I think of a nasty viscious bully.Matty stood upto his bully and bravely tried to take control
but sometimes no matter how brave you are things are to awlful to overcome. My beautiful amazing boy died at home surrounded by love on the 26th July 2011.He was 11 years old.We are so proud to have known and loved you X.
If love could have saved you ,you would have lived forever
Loveliest of lovely things are they on earth that soonest pass away
The rose that lives its little hour is prized beyond the sculptured flower

It also co ordinates the beads of courage programme for young people in the UK who are enduring treatment for cancer, to show support for them and to acknowledge their bravery in facing this vile, evil disease.
