Legacare is the first, and only charity that specialises in providing free legal help to terminally ill people.  So far, we have assisted over 1600 patients and their families who may not have accessed the help and support they needed at this crucial time in their lives.  We visit patients at their home, hospice or hospital and provide assistance for as long as it is needed - often in respect of complex legal issues involving employment issues, debt and housing, who will look after children, pensions, insurance claims, advance care planning and wills. Taking the stress of such worries away allows patients to have quality of life and enjoy the precious time they have, with their family and friends.
