I am currently a matron at north tees hospital working on very busy respiratory ward.

I am running 20 miles on my 40th birthday 19th June to raise money for our amazing respiratory team across the floor on wards 24/25. 

I started running 2 years ago with the most supportive beginners group Norton riot ... I could not run round Norton green but as the weeks went by and the distance  increased I really did enjoy running.... not something I ever thought I would say...  I completed the 10 week course and continued to run... well at a slow pace... 

I challenged my self to the GNR... which I loved... York 10 miler...  and Middlesbrough 10K... I even completed the virtual GNR last year for fun with  my amazing running friends .... 

So 20 miles will be the furthest I’ve ever ran .. with my amazing girls they will help and support me ... the route will start and finish at North Tees Hospital... and it will be a slow but consistent pace. Change of plan the route will be castle Eden walkway .. please join me if u can run walk bike... and please be there to support at the end ... 💪🏃‍♀️❤️
