As most people know In July 2016 at the age of 35 i was diagnosed with breast cancer. At a physiotherapy session I was advised that post surgery getting out, getting active, by walking, running, swimming etc can reduce the chances of cancer returning by 50% as a mother of 3 a reduction by any percentage is definitely worth it! In May 2017 after surgeries I started running. In October Liam ran Dublin marathon after the marathon during the celebrations & under the influence of copious amounts of wine I agreed to run Belfast marathon! Being the nice person I am I roped Amy in for the company and torture.

My mummy turned 50 in March 2017. After her first routine mammogram she was diagnosed with breast cancer 28th November 2017. After many hurdles and disappointments, she has recently been through surgery and is still battling through recovery. I decided to take up this personal challenge alongside Maria for a charity that's close to all our hearts 💓 My mummy is my best friend and has the best family and friends backing her....If her story can encourage at least one person to attend a routine mammogram then I know all the hard work will be worth it!! Let's do this!!!
