Many of you will know that our lovely daughter, Lauren, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 14 months old.  It was a devastating diagnosis at the time and life changing for our family.  There is currently no cure for this life threatening condition.  InDependent Diabetes Trust helped us through those early turbulent years both emotionally and with practical support and continue to do so.  They provide information and support to Diabetics and their families and campaign tirelessly to improve the lives of everyone living with this condition.

I have never run a half marathon (and it may well be my last!) but I fully intend to cross the finish line for a cause that is so close to my heart.  If you can support me, I would be truly grateful and please keep me in your thoughts.
