Story

The locally based Great Horwood charity, Medical Detection Dogs, relies totally on public support and donations to fund groundbreaking research and help to train dogs to detect life threatening conditions. The charity focuses on two main areas: Medical Alert Assistance dogs are trained to assist individuals who manage complex health conditions, giving them greater independence and saving public money through dramatically reduced paramedic call outs. Speeding up screening processes, particularly of cancers that are difficult to diagnose, will improve the prognosis for thousands of patients. Saving lives on a daily basis.
