Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2010 during our family summer holiday, my previously fit and healthy 9 year old son Owen began to feel unwell. We returned from the holiday early to see our local GP and Owen was referred to the Birmingham Childrens hospital with what initially appeared to be a liver virus - by mid November Owen had lost his brave battle to survive the onset of what turned out to be severe bone marrow failure (Aplastic Anaemia).
Myself and 3 friends are planning to ride our motorbikes to southern Morocco in mid September via Spain. We shall ride over the Atlas mountains and across the edge of the Sahara. As Owen was a budding young motocross rider himself it seems very fitting that we use this motorcycle trip as an opportunity to raise funds for the Aplastic Anaemia Trust who help provide support for sufferers and their families as well as funds for much needed research into this devastating condition.
Any donations wil be very gratefully recieved for a cause very close to my heart.
Thank you.
