We support children and adults to live happier and healthier lives

Story

Foundation of Light: - Established in 2001 by former Sunderland AFC chairman Sir Bob Murray CBE, our mission is simple: to improve lives through the power of football.

Its that time of year again and this year I am taking part in an incredible challenge of cycling from the Jura Mountains in Switzerland to the Vosges Mountains in France.

Once again, my main sponsors are two magnificent companies, Hydraulic Technical Services (NE) Ltd and Norcam Hydraulic Services Ltd who I thank unreservedly for their support and , I will carry their logos on the cycle jersey throughout the challenge. Regular updates throughout the event will also be posted on here and my facebook page.

My wife and family all live and work in the local community and see at first hand the fantastic reach the Foundation has and the continued excellent work all its volunteers does; it really does have an impact far and wide.

Lastly, one of our cyclists and, a personal friend cannot participate this year for health reasons, so I wish you all the best Gary and hope to see you storming up and down the hills with us again next year.

Please do give generously to this fabulous charity.

Please help me raise as much as possible for this fantastic charity and help it do even more for the local community.
