There are 15 runners from PTC Therapeutics from around the world running the NY Marathon on 1 November to raise money for different Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) patient charities. We want to make a difference not only through our daily work bringing the world's first therapy for DMD to patients and families but also through raising awareness of this rare genetic disorder.

DMD is a rapidly progressing muscle wasting disease, impacting all muscle systems and leading to early death in the twenties. Much needs to be done to enhance the quality and length of lives of the boys and young men suffering from DMD.
