I recently caught up with an old rugby pal, John Wheelwright, under sad circumstances. He has terminal cancer, but despite this I was amazed by his strength of character and immense bravery and it got me thinking how many people I know who have been personally been touched by cancer. When you look more closely there is nearly always one common factor - Macmillian and the amazing support they offer to individuals and families during their journey.

That's why I've signed up for the challenge, which doesn't compare to the challenge faced by John and his family and the many thousands more impacted by cancer.
