I casually applied to take part in the 2017 London Marathon not really believing that I would get a place, so it was a very nice but also somewhat scary surprise to receive an official mailing stating "You're in!" 

I now want to use this opportunity to raise some sponsorship in support of the Guernsey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA). They help over 3000 animals a year, 7 days a week and they are caring for over 400 animals which all need to be fed and cared for.
